Today marks the 4th anniversary of my father’s death.  We celebrated his life with a morning Mass and then breakfast.

Four years seems so far away. . . until your looking back.    We miss him so much.

  1. Such a beautiful image and a loving tribute to your father, Lisa! No matter how much time passes, it always seems like yesterday that our loved ones were with us! We lost both of my husband’s parents on the same day, and, I might add, just one minute apart, back in September of 2010, so it’s the 3rd anniversary for us … their lives, and their passing, were such a testimony of faith and love! I’ll have to share with you about that sometime! I too lost my dad but I was only 7 years old. I don’t remember him very well, at all. Sad really, but I’m thankful that I have my Heavenly Father! I also lost my mom 25 years ago to cancer … and you are absolutely right, it seems so long ago, until you look back … I still miss her very much, too!

I also wanted to come and return the love, and to thank you so, so much for your comment today, and all the replies to my comments, and for thinking of me, and to tell you we so appreciate your prayers! I have really missed being here and sharing more … hopefully that will change very soon! I also wanted to say about your beautiful photo of those grapes above – we have a vineyard here that I visited once and took oodles of photos of their grapes … this image makes me want to go back again … the grapes are right for picking right now, and they make the prettiest pictures! You have a blessed week, my friend, thanks again, and look for a more detailed email from me very soon! xoxo
