Today is the Third day of Lent. I’m playing this beautiful Lenten game a friend made up. One of the things  she wants  to do is keep a running list of 10 things  daily we are grateful for, for 40 days. It seems to be an easy task. We will see. As I do with many of my thoughts and treasures I think I’ll keep my list here. And, since I haven’t picked up my camera in weeks I want to post a new photo each day with that list.

We would love for you to join us. If you don’t have time for 10 things put down as many as want. A simple photograph to show graduated will do, anything you would like to share would be lovely.   Feel free to jump in for one day or all the whole 40 days.

Let’s inspire each other.

1.)  I am so grateful my oldest son is coming home from college tonight.

2.) I am grateful for belly laughs. When I can see the “funny” in a tough situation.

3.) I am grateful for phone calls from one of my favorite aunts.

4.) I am grateful for the roof over my head on these cold, rainy mornings.

5.) I am grateful for spell check. . . because I always spell grateful wrong.

6.) I am grateful for music.

7.) I am grateful I still hold my breath when my husband takes my hand.

8.) I’m grateful for the relationship I have with my 16 year old daughter.

9.) I’m grateful my mother just lives down the road a couple of miles.

10.) I a grateful I was able to help care for my father in his last days.

  1. If the only prayer one says is “Thank you,” that will suffice. Meister Eckhart.
This is my gratitude prayer and I find myself saying it in the first moments upon waking, throughout the day and when I go to bed at night. And I do mean it! THANK YOU, GOD for each of the blessed moments of my 71 year life, and each moment has been blessed, regardless of appearance.
