“Hey! You’re baking”

it rained in South Carolina like it never rained before last weekend.  It rained so hard the streets flooded and it was best not to go outside.

as my kids walked in to the kitchen one by one they each said with joy: “Hey! You’re baking!” and then silence as they noticed: the tripod, camera and black board . . .  and said almost somberly, “or are you just photographing?”

because sometimes I am known to do one and not the other . . . but, this day – this very rainy day. . . they were in luck . . .

I did both.

“October’s Party”

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came,

The Ashes, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.

Vines, Chair and Logo

The sunshine spread a carpet,
And every thing was grand;

whtie pumkin, vines, chair logo

Miss Weather led the dancing;
Professor Wind, the band….

Vines, pumkins and logo

The sight was like a rainbow
New-fallen from the sky….
