I have been married to Mark, my unrefined Prince Charming, for a life time. We have 4 children. I am a terrible speller and not a writer. I am not very swift with the computer. I pretend to be confident. I am not very organized. I am passionate about my family. I could use A LOT of help with my house and yard work. I am easily distracted. I think the world of my parents. I can fight like a man ~ or as WE (my friends from the karate school)like to say~A GIRL. My favorite exercises are; bagwork, sparring and anything that makes me sweat and work hard. I miss karate terribly and I hope to get back to real training one day. I don’t know the answers to most of these questions anymore; like favorite books, favorite music, or favorite movie. These are the things I know; I am my husband’s secretary for our business, a house wife, home-schooling mother of 4. I don’t know what I am doing when it comes to any of these but I try. I like the books we need to read for school, I have sons that like to listen to Catholic radio, NPR and every now and then we listen to my kids’ music. I have been told by friends, they are afraid I have lost my identity. But, I think I found it in my family.c6c41-usfripp

  1. Hi Lisa … yes, you have a very beautiful family! I wanted to come back and say thank you for stopping in at my blog and leaving such a sweet comment on my entry for i heart faces! Then I started reading your bio, and I also want to say that I’m a ‘retired’ home school mom, and I miss it so much! We also took karate together, and my son got to brown belt … me, well, certainly not as good as he is! That was a few years back, and now I’m doing good to walk a couple of miles a day, and lift a few weights! I too need lots of help with both the yard, and housework! We are Irish, Welsh, and German, and a couple others thrown in the mix! Our son is now married so I’m trying my hand at photography … something I’ve loved all my life!

You said in your comment that you moved here to WordPress, and that a change would encourage you to start blogging again. I totally understand … I’ve been there myself, and that’s one reason I made the switch. So, how do you like it here? I also have a site here, and have been considering it instead of Blogger. I am, however; still learning my way around … so many ways to set up a site, and it seems a bit more complicated than Blogger. I’m still undecided as to which I like better. Time, and a few more posts, will tell, I suppose. You can find me here if you like, but I haven’t posted on this one in a little while. I’ve been working on the themes this week, trying different ones out to see what works for me, so if it looks disorganized, you’ll know why. I’ll be posting more here, once I do get it set up. Having access to free blogs sure makes it fun to try them out! And if you don’t mind, I’ll be following you here on WP, too! 🙂

Anyway, you have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for letting me share a bit with you! Just want to add that I loved your honesty here in your bio! Blessings to you!

  2. Thank you for your wonderful, heartfelt comments.

Judging by your fine work here, you also share the same unequivocal, passion for your children.

You have some very fine Portraits here. Natural, unassuming. I like it. You have the “photographer’s Spirit”, for sure.

I am sincerely appreciative of all that you mentioned.
Your copy of my book, and there WILL be one, is on me.

    Keep up the good work.

    Regards,

    Rohan

  4. First time visitor by way of ‘Our World Tuesday’. As others have already mentioned, you do have a lovely family. Be confident in who you are. You’re absolutely correct, as an active mother to a young family it’s only natural to be involved in all aspects of their lives. As they get older, your role as a parent, wife and friend will evolve. Bravo!

    1. Hey Katja! I’m so happy to be in touch with you. My brother in law in German. I’m not sure what part. Way back when I first started the blog and named it – I use to write about all of us. But, as time went on my sister wanted a blog so now I mostly write about my little family. I’m so glad you’re here!!!

      Much love! Lisa

  5. Lisa,

Was checking out your site again today. I have been following you for awhile. My ministry has been expanded to health and wellness, was looking for another revenue source to fund my ministry work. It has been very successful. Would love to share with you and perhaps you or someone in your network of followers would be interested. Thanks, Peggy

  6. I wanted to reply to something on my blog that you commented on and this was the only way to do it. Also I just read about your daughter and will be praying for her recovery. You are dealing with a lot right now for sure.

To answer your question some of them get along. We have 9 cats (counting the neighbor’s cat that we’ve been keeping inside during the cold weather). Our cats don’t care for him very much and he keeps away from them as much as possible. – The oldest female cat gets picked on by almost every cat we have except for one and that’s because they grew up together. Sorry to hear about the loss of the Bee Colony.

  8. What a beautiful picture! You are so lucky…we wanted four children (I’m not sure why four was the number we picked, but it just seemed right…) but unfortunately things never worked out for us. We are still hoping to adopt from foster care, but I need to get some of my chronic pain problems under better control…anyway, I’m sorry to babble on like this. But you are lovely and so is your family 🙂

    1. Dear Barbara, Thank you so much for sharing your heart. I’ll be praying for you & your husband on your adoption journal. I think that is just amazing. Mark and I often talk about adoption. I would love a house full of children. But, his heart issues old me back. . .so I understand fully about what you are saying about your health. The what ifs are huge. Thank you again . . . I love your babble so please lets do it again. And you are so right! I always say, “we might be the luckiest people in the world.” sooo many blessing come our way. Much love, Lisa
